Just for the cool kids…

Pssst….tomorrow after work we’re all meeting up at The Argyle for 6pm. No big speeches, no lame service pitches, just the cool kids sharing some snacks on Colour‘s tab. Swing by for a drink or two and meet some smart, interesting people.

Want in on the Halifax social media scene? Here are a few to start you off in no particular order. Obviously, there are far more than I’d ever be able to list here but don’t hesitate to share your favourites or to slap me around tomorrow night if I missed you.

Seriously. I couldn’t be happier that I left this hanging about in my reader for my one free moment this week!

I love how Theo and Calvin are all confused! :)

I’m clearly late, but this is also, clearly, the greatest thing I have ever seen. I only wish I had a dog so I could join the movement…

LOL! That was hilarious. I love the second doggie’s walk down the hall. :D

Auburn: ANY victim will do haha! I’ll do a full house tour very soon!

MinSF: That’s what the newf said too haha “Who has the time to do this??”

Vanessa: Sounds like YOU need a partner in crime…

Hillary: That’s what I thought…

Hillary April 26, 2010 at 4:33 pm

Oh my god. This made me love you even more.

OMG, I laughed so loud I scared my own dogs! That is riotous. I don’t know that we dare try to top that, besides I seem to have the linebacker of small dogs and no way could I carry her in one hand. Even if I could she’s too wiggly.

I don’t think it is the dogs confused faces that make this video so brilliant but the fact that there is background music. The fact that time went into a video about this makes me believe in the human race. Truly touching.

Well done, my friend, well done.

That was funny on so many levels I don’t even know where to start! But if I had a dog I would totally do it. Unfortunately, I just have a cat who would howl and scratch the whole time. Stupid cats.

Hope the new job went well today!

I’m not sure what was better, the attacks or the thumbs ups.

Genius.

This just made my day. I’m going to have to try this w/ my chihuahua. He wouldn’t mind although the hubby might. Actually he’d probably just look at me like I’m crazy. Which I pretty much am. I’ll definitely post it if I get a successful attack!

Dolce April 26, 2010 at 4:33 pm

HAHAHAAHAH!!!

That was awesome! I’ll have to try that the next time I wake up the husband.

You’re puppies remind me of mine. I think she has a little weiner dog in her…and you’re house is fantatic!

No way Jack would let me do that to him. He’d bite my hand and then I’d never be able to blog again and I’m pretty sure the world would end if my blog did.

You just seriously made my day. I think I am going to take your lesson to heart, but slightly modify it. Mine are just small enough for me to hold both of them AT ONCE. Dare I? I could set up the camcorder on a tripod and hope it catches everything…

thank you. thank you sooo much for that :)

OMG Ben… I’m SO going to try it with my 20-pound scottie.

(Yeah, my other 2 dogs are even heavier. Try lifting a 90-pound lab or a 30-pound cocker spaniel. I don’t think that would work).

And I have to admit, newf is quite patient. (Good thing he loves you, so he is able to put up with Pokemon attacks while he sleeps).

That was absolutely hysterical, and I totally agree with Deutlich – I love your house too! I was thinking about it through the whole video. ^_^

I was studying your technique, clearly perfected after much practice. Teach me your ways!

1. I love that you used the B-52′s as the soundtrack.

2. I love how Theo was like, “I’m getting attention! Pet me, pet me!” when he was laying down. And then when he was used for the Pokemon attack, he was like, “Whatev.”

3. I love the newf’s response for the first attack. The finger is good, though obviously not an effective counter-measure against the Pokemon attack. It’s damn funny, though.

Your dogs are surprisingly willing to cooperate in these attacks. That makes them even more awesome than they already are.

And I’m SO glad you posted that vid!!

I have to wait to watch this. The filters here at work make videos sooooo sllllooooowwwww that I could come back on Tuesday and it would only show 5 seconds of it.

TTFN! I’ll come back tonight!

oh my god. if i tried to pick edie up and do that my arms would fall off, she’s gigantic.

plus, “your not my puppy” aka winston is on notice. we are currently not friends. once i get a chance to take pictures of him, oh WYD? posts galore!

I realize that vid was all about the pokemon attack… but I LOVE YOUR HOUSE!

Reply

Maxie April 26, 2010 at 4:33 pm

HAHAHAHA! Wait… can I do this with a cat? Because my dog will bite me if I try to do that.

Reply

Rachel April 26, 2010 at 4:33 pm

I’m going to do it

Please realize that I will completely blame you when Diana brings this up in therapy…

Reply

Lauren April 26, 2010 at 4:33 pm

Hahaha! This is the BEST thing i’ve seen all day. I love when the dogs looked back at you while you held them. I’m not sure if it was confusion or the “oh, god, not this again,” look.

SO good! Yeah, okay, I might do this now…

Word Perv April 26, 2010 at 4:33 pm

I think newf must be the most understanding, loving man out there! He barely even flinches when his face gets assaulted by a doggie’s bum.

Oh and I’m with Joel Kelly – the slightly confused, oh-hell-go-ahead look on the dogs’ faces is priceless!!!

The Dutchess of Kickball April 26, 2010 at 4:33 pm

LOL I love it. I especially love the look on Calvin’s face, it’s kind of like “DAD! WTF?”

My pokemon counter-attack will be a few weeks in the making. I’ll having to wait until Gilfred is around as Olivia is a bit too much to handle for a butt attack.

That video made my day! I love how the poor newf is so helpless! Resistance is definitely futile as you’ll attack him even when he’s sleeping!

You’re too cute.

Joel Kelly April 26, 2010 at 4:33 pm

Bahahaha!

Best part? The slightly confused, but mostly completely apathetic expression on the dogs’ faces.
