My name is Ben and this is No Ordinary Rollercoaster, my blog for over three years.
I’ve written over 600 posts – some about what I’ve learned in school, some about my dogs’ overzealous bowel movements (not pictured above but she’s cute too), some about thinking that I’m fat, some about hating children, some written while drunk and many about finding humour in my life and the people in it.
Some posts have zero comments. Others have 99.
Sometimes people gave a shit. Sometimes people didn’t.
I’ve been a nobody. I’ve been the talk of the town. I’ve been overrated.
I don’t really know what I am these days but it almost doesn’t even matter.
Since hopping on the Rollercoaster I’ve graduated university, I’ve adopted two puppies, I’ve rented an apartment, I’ve bought a house, I’ve landed numerous jobs and I’ve flown across the country and the continent to hang out with strangers.
A lot of the people that were around when I really discovered blogging have moved on and shut down. But that’s not what I’m going to do.
This is me hitting the pause button to cut the shit and the pressure and just reintroduce myself to the people who have been here since the start and to the newcomers who just popped by. Also, it’s me saying I’m going to make an effort to get to know you better. Just clicking publish every few days hasn’t been all that fulfilling.
