You’re right, I haven’t vlogged in a long time. I recognize that and I’m trying to correct it. To be honest, I’m working on a three-drink-minimum renovation series that will no doubt include much gin and prank calls to my dad for your viewing pleasure.
I tried to do a new one yesterday when I was painting some mouldings around my fireplace and watching Calvin dry-hump random stank patches in the backyard but as some of you may remember, my macbook no longer holds a charge. I got killer footage (as killer as footage of your dog grinding into mud can get) and before I could save, it shut off on me. HATES IT. Even if I plug it in now, it flashes orange and green rather than giving me the orange charging light or the green charged light. Swell.
Apple, I love you but only a year and a half lifespan for your batteries? That’s rude.
As a consolation prize, I’m willing to share something very special with you. Something that will make you laugh at my expense. Something that may ruin your perceptions of me until the end of time. Something….FROM HIGH SCHOOL.
Dun dun dunnnnn.
My preppy high school had a little something called video announcements. These quickly degraded to a series of funny-at-the-time advertisements for junk. I was the Movie Night guy. There’s a collection of four on YouTube that you’re welcome to find on your own time. Today, I’m posting – against my better judgement – the supervideo that closed off the year, uniting two ad personality duos to promote prom tickets.
There is no other explanation that can prepare you for what’s to come:
I can’t tell if it embedded appropriately thanks to this computer being from the mid-nineties. If you can’t see the video, click here.

we cool…
I've been reading some of your posts since I have find it sometime last year and they are all interesting, Ben. Thanks for reintroducing yourselves. You have a unique blog and writing style. Good to see that you are not leaving but putting the stake in the ground.
Phew…I was preparing for another blog-break, blog-hiatus, blog-fail, blog-quit speech!! So pleased…so, so pleased!! x
You're good in my book. Also, I am increasingly tempted to take an absurdly long and out of the way road trip to your area with my dogs. I'd do anything to break this heat before it breaks me.
I love a good BM discussion–animal or otherwise. IT's one of my fave topics. I also like to talk about people. I've been silently reading…
Dude, we're always cool. Actually, I felt the month I took off for my musical really boosted my blogging desire, so I feel back in the game, too.
OMG, I almost had a panic attack. I thought you were closing you blog down! Each word filled me with more dread. I was almost afraid to read on! Since you're not actually closing this down…Yeah, Ben. We're cool.
Hi Ben. You're neat.
Of course we're cool=) How very refreshing of you Ben! Glad you're doing things that are hopefully fulfilling for you and not just routine or expected. I think a lot of people get into those habits on their blogs. I love dropping by here… thanks for sharing a little of yourself with us;-)
oh, hi there, friend.

and thanks…you've inspired me to engage more as well.
You know, I had to scroll down to the very last words of your post to make sure you weren't leaving the bloggy world as well because I would have cried.
Ok not cried, but I would have been fairly saddened.
Glad you're sticking around!
Yeah, we're cool.
Hi Ben. You're cool in my book!
